Travel Insurance
Now more than ever, travel insurance is ESSENTIAL when travelling domestically or internationally in particular to cover unforeseen changes or cancellation due to Covid-19 related delays such as testing positive before your flight. Interruptions to your travel plans are disappointing and can be particularly stressfuil at the last minute, so knowing you have the right cover in place can afford you peace of mind. Things to consider when taking out travel insurance:
- Many countries require proof of COVID-19 medical insurance which covers COVID-19 treatment and medical evacuation to a referral hospital.
- Ensure you have adequate coverage for Overseas Emergency Medical Assistance/Evacuation as well as hospital expenses
- Know how much cancellation cover you require; how much you have spent or likely to spend on airfares, accommodation and tours that have cancellation penalties
- Ensure the policy you take covers Cancellation Fees and Lost Deposits due to Covid-19 related delays or cancellation and quarantine
- Some companies require cover to be taken out at the time of time of making your travel bookings, so be sure to make arrangements early to ensure you have adequate coverage
